Portage County is preparing to sell its water off to Hydraulic Fracturing companies at DISCOUNT PRICES. 1-5 million gallons of water per well, 800 wells in Ohio alone (and permits growing by the thousands every day).Cleveland citizens, by contrast, who use an average of 75,000 gallons per year (average 4 person family) will be experiencing a 9% rate increase for the next 4 years.
The water is returned, contaminated, and pumped back into the ground - the ground, which holds the aquifers where we get our drinking water.
Fracking is responsible for the earthquakes in Youngstown and the deaths in nearby Pennsylvania.
