Joe Norley (a baby boomer) grew up as a Philadelphia Main Liner. He is a colorful and provocative local advocate for residents’ rights and grass roots democracy. Joe has been involved in advancing solutions for numerous issues on behalf of residents of West Chester. For more than 10 years, Joe has interfaced at most pertinent meetings of West Chester Borough government, Town-Gown, and more. Joe has gained an interesting perspective into the workings of local government and ways to solve apparent “intractable” problems. He advocates for local citizens’ and taxpayers’ rights to local self-governing principles. He writes about community journalism and social media as well. Joe also wants to remember that all this “pro-activity” is relative when compared to the most important issue of appreciating life and the magic of every moment.
